Research

Felix Plappert received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and information technology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2020. He joined the Biomedical Signal Processing group at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Lund University, in October 2020 as a PhD-student. His research focuses on the effect of the autonomous nervous system (ANS) on the initiation and maintenance of atrial fibrillation (AF). He is developing methods for the quantitative analysis of individual cardiac ANS response during AF through advanced signal processing, explorative analysis of clinical data and statistical modeling. His PhD project is part of a collaboration between the Lund University, Lund, Sweden and the Fraunhofer-Chalmers Centre, Gothenburg, Sweden.
