Personal profile

Research

My main area of research is resource-constrained embedded systems (modeling, analysis, optimization) with requirements for real-time, low power and energy constraints, relevant for applications in Internet-of-Things (IoT). In this context, I have also carried out research related to real-time scheduling, hardware-software co-design, custom hardware architectures, design for reliability, Java in embedded systems (native Java processors, hardware-assisted garbage collection, bytecode-to-hardware generation), communication infrastructures and networks-on-chip, streaming applications, and data-flow computing models. I am also involved in work applying machine learning to industrial and embedded applications as well as in signal processing for radar and radio astronomy.
