Senior lecturer
Dr. Fredrik Schultheiss is an Associate Professor at the Division of Production and Materials Engineering, Lund University. He received his Ph.D. at the university 2013 with a dissertation on the machinability of ductile and strain-hardening materials. His research centers on the machining of high-performance materials, evaluated in terms of for example product quality, tool wear, and manufacturing cost. Dr. Schultheiss has authored in excess of 30 scientific publications and is currently acting project leader for several scientific projects.
Fredrik is Program Director for Mechanical Engineering. He is involved in teaching several courses and is responsible for MMTF20 Production and Manufacturing Methods and MMTN31 Sustainable Manufacturing Systems.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
