Research

I study the greenhouse gas exchanges between the earth surface and the atmosphere, using so-called "inverse modelling techniques": greenhouse gas concentrations observed in the atmosphere can be related to surface exchanges using a numerical model of the atmospheric transport (winds). By combining information from a large number of observations, it is possible to reconstruct a spatio-temporal map of these surface exchanges. I focus particularly on CO2 fluxes in Scandinavia and Europe.
