Research

I am a registered physiotherapist since 1990 and I took my master degree in 2010 at Lund University. I became a PhD student in November 2015 at Department of Health Sciences, Lund University. I work half time with research and half time as a clinician at the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine, Skåne University Hospital.

My research focuses on persons with impaired sensation of their arm and hand after stroke. The first study is a qualitative study aiming to increase our knowledge of how sensory impairments affect the persons´ daily life. The aims of the following studies are to evaluate the effect of specific sensory training on sensation, dexterity and the ability to use the hand in daily life. My main supervisor is Christina Brogårdh and assisting supervisors are Anders Björkman, Birgitta Rosén and Helené Pessah-Rasmussen.
