Håkan Hallberg

Senior lecturer, Associate Professor

Personal profile

Research

The research is focused on numerical modeling and simulation of microstructure mechanics in crystalline materials and how this translates to macroscale material behavior. Main research topics include manifestations of plasticity at different length scales, properties and influence of crystal defects, as well as phenomena such as recrystallization, grain growth and phase transformations. Modeling of the physical mechanisms as well as implementation of efficient numerical simulation algorithms are targeted and combined with experimental materials characterization.
