Personal profile

Research

My research interests lie primarily in three areas. The research in monetary and financial history is mainly oriented towards Swedish currency history and currency market integration during the 19th century. My interest in growth and structural change is directed towards above all historical national accounts, but also in relationships between the monetary/financial and real economy sides of economic development. Finally, my research in the history of economic thought mainly concerns Swedish thinking about money, banking and currency issues during the 19th century. An important part that spans several areas is data collection and the construction of databases.
