The main focus of my research is on various aspects of the long-run energy transition from organic economy to modern economic growth. My thesis focused primarily on the Czech Republic in a comparative perspective to other Western economies, and the differences in historical energy intensities and industrial development. At a moment I am working on a number of projects, incl. historical develeopments in manufacturing energy efficiency, energy embodied in trade and carbon displacement, and Swedish energy technology innovations.
Since 2013, I have been teaching on several courses the environmental aspects of energy use and its socio-economic consequences, theoretical and historical perspective on environmental issues, and principles of ecological economics and environmental economics. I teach both at the bachelor level (Swedish language) as well as master level course (English language).
I have been involved in a supervision of numerous master thesis with a focus on energy issues and also in thesis grading.
