Research
My main focus, during my more than 40 years in coastal research, has been the development of numerical modeling tools for long-term coastal evolution predictions. This work gave birth to the GENESIS model, that was developed in close cooperation with ERDC within the US Army Corps of Engingeers. Later, the fundamentals of the GENESIS model were transferred into the CenCade model, which is now the official ERDC long-term coastal evolution model. In addition to this I have worked as a consultant both in Sweden and globally. This work has, in adddition to morfphological modeling, also focussed on Integrated Coastal Management and impacts of climate change.
