As a professionally trained opera artist and scholar, I work with conceptual exploration and multi-sensory composition for human live-performance in the field of music drama. Drawing on concepts and ideas from game design, ludology, and creative technologies, my practice-led research concerns questions about immersion and interaction in contemporary chamber opera. I collaborate regularly with other artists, designers, and researchers, and the artworks that have been conceived in connection to my research have innovatively integrated for instance larping and other kinds of role-playing as well as artificial intelligence into new operatic concepts.
