Personal profile

Research

My research explores past and present marine environments and their links to climate change over the past 130,000 years, focusing on land-sea-atmosphere interactions. I use marine sediments, microorganism analysis, hydrographic time series, and process-oriented modeling, with an emphasis on proxy calibration and validation through experimental and field studies.

I am particularly interested in coastal environments influenced by human activity, such as fjords, the Skagerrak, the Baltic Sea, and global upwelling areas. I lead several projects funded by VR, Formas, and foundations including Crafoord and Oscar & Lili Lamm Foundation.
