Research
I am a trained intensive care nurse and licensed midwife with a master's degree in public health sciences, as well as a doctoral degree in medical science. My doctoral thesis focused on examining the effects of collegial midwifery assistance during the active second stage of labor with the aim of preventing severe perineal trauma.
Teaching
Since 2018, I have been a university lecturer in nursing and midwifery education, concurrently with clinical practice and doctoral studies. Since obtaining my doctoral degree, I have been employed at the Department of Health Sciences and have expanded my teaching role to encompass various programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Professional work
I have several years of clinical experience in cardiac intensive care, thoracic intensive care, and midwifery. As a midwife, I have primarily worked in labor and birth care, but also in prenatal care.
