Personal profile

Research

In 2022 I defended my thesis "Implementation of knowledge-based palliative care in nursing homes: The professional´s perspective". The thesis is a part of the KUPA-project (Implementation of Knowledge-based Palliative Care in Nursing Homes) which aimed to improve the palliative care for frail older persons in nursing homes.

My current research focuses on digital education for healthcare professionals and is part of the Nordic Digital Health & Education project (NorDigHE). The project aims to create healthcare training for treating patients digitally in their own homes. The training will ensure that the staff acquire the necessary digital competence and psychological security needed to deliver hospital care virtually in the home.

Teaching

I am a lecturer in the nursing program and in the specialist program for public health nurses. Supervisor for degree work at Bachelor's and Master's level.

My teaching primarily focuses on health and lifestyle habits, ethics, and palliative care and older persons.

Professional work

My clinical experience comes mainly from the care of older persons such as both home care and nursing homes.
