Research
My main research focus is on how the urban water system should be adapted to accommodate global challenges with an increasing population, more complex pollution sources, rapid urbanization and a changing climate with more extreme weather conditions including droughts and floods. From a fundamental point of view water quality and quantity need to be addressed simultaneously. In my research I consequently try to combine these two fundamental aspects of water.
