My PhD project looks at the transitions of key officials from state and region to the private sector in Sweden and the regulation of these transitions, both historically and contemporarily. The project is divided into three sub-studies: first is a historical-legal study on the regulation of transitions from key positions from the public sector to the private sector, with emphasis on conflict of interests. Then the study maps the transitions from key positions in the government, public agencies and the regions. Finally, the project investigates the implementation of current regulations of ministers and state secretaries’ transitions to the private sector. The project is funded by the Swedish Research Council.
Previously, I was a research assistant on the project “Responses to Labour Exploitation in Sweden – Representations of Victims and Access to Justice”. We looked at how practitioners identify, categorise and respond to the exploitation of migrant workers and how this may affect the access to justice for victims of labour exploitation
