Personal profile

Research

I am a certified Speech-language pathologist and as a clinician I have primarly worked in the mainstream school setting. My research interests are language development, with a special focus on vocabulary development, during the school years and implementation of evidence-based language interventions within the school setting.

My doctoral dissertation Vocabulary development in the early school years. Association with demographic factors, formal schooling and summer vacation, and the effects of a teacher Continuing Professional Development program (Rosqvist, 2024) had two overarching aims: 1. Investigating factors associated with vocabulary development in the early school years, and 2. Evaluating the effect of a teacher Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program on both the participating teachers, and the vocabulary development of their students.

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher within the RJ (Riksbankens jubileumsfond) program TEAM (Transdisciplinary Approaches to Learning, Aquisition, and Multilingualism) led by M. Gullberg and  J. Granfeldt. In this research project (PI K. Hansson) Word definition skills: explaining variability. The complex interaction between factors within and around the child we are investigating how factors within and around the child are associated with word definition skills, which are predictive of school success and literacy.

Teaching

My teaching is primarly focused on language development, Developmantal Language Disorder (DLD), and evidence-based language interventions at the Speech-Language Pathology program at Lund university. I also teach the course on Oral communication for PhD students at the Faculty of Medicine.
