Personal profile

Research

My research focuses on neoadjuvant treatment for breast cancer patients. An increasing number of patients are receiving neoadjuvant treatment, e g chemotherapy before cancer surgery in contrast to treatment after surgery. We aim to monitor these patients before, during and after chemotherapy and analyze pathological and radiological response to chemotherapy. Radiologically we are analyzing mammographic density changes during chemotherapy, changes in tumor size measured by ultrasound, mammography and tomosynthesis and the response of lymph nodes in the axilla. Our goal is to increase knowledge of neoadjuvant treated tumors’ response to chemotherapy and gain further knowledge about prognostic and predictive factors.
