I have my backgound in human geography and is currently emplyed as researcher at the department of Service Studies.

My research interest lies in the relation between human and nature and how natural resources are managed and how various managment systems affect the people who depend on the resources in their everyday life. I am specially interested in how social aspects of sustainability are included in policy agendas and management systems.  A governance perspective has consistently guided my choice of study topics and in my PhD project, I am writing a monograph on the discourses on sustainable fisheries in response to the crisis in the Swedish Baltic Sea fisheries. This research examines dominant discourses, why they are dominant, and the extent to which they incorporate local contexts and social aspects of fisheries, using the municipality of Simrishamn as a case study.

I have been working outside University for more than 10 years, mainly with regional development in Southeast Skåne and as projectmanager for different environmental projects related to oceans at the Marine center in the municipality of Simrishamn.
