Research

Basically, my research is about how society's production is organized. It is the coordination of individuals' choices and actions that is in focus, both in terms of how they can be explained and what they can explain, what consequences they produce. My research deals with issues at the borderland between economics, political science and law. Most of it fits within the areas of Public Choice, Law & Economics or the broader concept of New Institutional Economics. A central object of study is different types of rights and what they mean for the individual as well as for society at large. In recent years, most of the research has been about rights related to citizenship, rights related to housing and rights related to land use.

Teaching

My teaching deals with financial aspects of real estate and its use. Examples are courses in economics, economics of the built environment, urban economics, real estate markets and real estate valuation. Within real estate valuation, I have written the textbook (in Swedish) Fastighetsvärdering – om värdeteori och värderingsmetoder (2018;2023), Studentlitteratur.
