Personal profile

Research

I work on long term change and inequality in population health and mortality, over the past centuries until today. I study how health is shaped over the lifecourse, by the disease environment, by childhood experiences, and across generations. Indicators of health I’m interested in include reproductive health, stature, birthweight, morbidity and mortality. I study health changes using historical and modern population registers of Sweden and digitized and linked civil certificates of the Netherlands.
