Research

In my research I study properties of industrially important metallic materials and processes. These studies are performed mainly using synchrotron X-ray techniques such as diffraction, flourescence, photoemission and absorption spectroscopy, often in-situ. Current studies focuses on the process of vacuum brazing stainless steels. This may be steel deoxidation behaviour, wetting mechanism and chararacterisation of the resulting brazed joint microstructure.
