Personal profile

Research

I am an environmental social science with a background in geography and environmental policy. My research interests lie at the intersections between environmental politics and governance, science and technology studies, and environmental science, in particular the relationship between climate change science and international climate politics. I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at CEC. My research looks at the 1.5 degree Special Report produced by the IPCC in 2018. I am interested in the roles both science and politics have had in the framing and production of the concept of 1.5 degrees and what voices have been articulated in this process. I am particularly interested in the idea of policy relevance and what this means for the practices of climate knowledge and the relationship between science and policy.

I completed my PhD at CEC in 2018. My project built on theories of knowledge, expertise, and science for policy through looking at specific cases from the IPCC to look at how climate change science is constructed and articulated in international policy settings.
