Research

Jason Tucker is a Researcher at the Institute for Futures Studies and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the AI Policy Lab, the Department of Computing Science, Umeå University. He is a Visiting Research Fellow within the research group AI and Society, at the Department of Technology and Society, Lund University.

He is an interdisciplinary researcher leading a WASP-HS project on the  politics and policy around AI and global health. Jason is particularly interested in issues of transparency, participation and the public good. He has a background in public policy, governance, human geography, public international law, human rights, and international development.

Jason was awarded a Ph.D. in Social and Policy Sciences from the University of Bath, U.K (2014). Following the completion of his Ph.D. he worked for the UN Refugee Agency (2014-2016).
