Personal profile

Research

I am a PhD student in the research group since February 2014. I am a licensed occupational therapist with extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care and rehabilitation, as well as daily activity/employment for people with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and acquired brain injuries.

I have  been teaching for several years at the occupational therapy undergraduate program in parallel with my clinical work. This I continue as a graduate student, primarily regarding occupational therapy for adults with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. My research studies concerns the rehabilitation of people with psychiatric disabilities conducted in the municipalities in the form of a day centres (DC). This form of rehabilitation will be compared with the another rehabilitation model, the Clubhouse Model, both in terms of the organization and content of the services. Furthermore, we will compare users of DCs and clubhouses concerning factors related to health and well-being.
