Various exoplanet finding missions have revealed thousands of exoplanets, of varying masses, sizes and around different types of stars. Our research aims at understanding the atmospheres of exoplanets using high-resolution spectroscopy, to constrain how planets formed, migrated and evolved — and in the future, to search for atmospheric tracers of habitability or even extraterrestrial life on rocky planets. In addition, we focus on observations and simulations of planetesimals in young exoplanet systems, which resemble the environments in the early days of our own solar system.
