I used to perform clinical work as an oral and maxillofacial clinician. During this period, I formed my strong interest in oral cancer and salivary gland regeneration. What I learned from the research I did in Nagoya University is extracellular vesicles from human dental pulp stem cells play a role in preventing senescence in the process of salivary gland hypofunction. I came to Nagoya University (Japan) for my further Ph.D. study and why I exchanged to Lund University for a one-year Joint-Degree-Program, while I am kindly mentored by Dr. Darcy Wagner in her Lung Bioengineering and Regeneration Lab at Lund University Stem Cell Center studying bioengineering application for salivary gland regeneration.
