Research

My research focuses on history of science, history of technology, and environmental history. I lead the research project “Forest Knowledge in Action: Historical Inquires for Integrated Forest Management Futures” (funded by Marcus och Amalia Wallenbergs Minnesfond), exploring the distribution of scientific knowledge about intergrated forest management. In addition, I work in three other research projects: “Optimized Trees: The Intersection of Scientific Knowledge and Public Discourse in the Transition from Natural to Artificial Methods of Tree Improvement” (Marcus och Amalia Wallenbergs Minnesfond), ”Between Academy and Industry: Cross-Border Networks in Early Swedish Forest Tree Breeding” (Föreningen Skogsträdsförädling, Kempestiftelserna, and Södras forskningsstiftelse), and "Route to Paris" (Formas). I am affiliated to the network Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services in a Changing Climate (BECC) at Lunds University and University of Gothenburg.
