Personal profile

Research

I work as a social secretary in Lund. At the same time I do my doctoral studies within the Research School for Professionals in Social Services (FYS). For more information about FYS: forskarskolanfys.se.

My research project deals with the life issues of institutionalized young people, from an existential perspective. I will conduct ethnographic fieldwork and interviews with young people placed in institutions during 2023.

Existential life questions concern the basic conditions of existence, and my study focuses on four of these: freedom in making different life choices, existential loneliness, meaning and meaninglessness, and the passage of time towards death and aging.

I would like to connect with other social workers and researchers who are interested in an existential perspective in social work - so if my project piques your curiosity, don't hesitate to get in touch!
