Personal profile

Research

My research concerns human-environment interactions, with a special focus on sustainable urban mobility. Some topics that I have been investigating are how different environmental characteristics, such as greenery and street lighting, affect how pedestrians and bicyclists experience their immediate environment and how they utilize pedestrian/bicyclist paths. I have also done research on how outdoor lighting impact mobility and perceptions of safety in urban areas during hours of darkness.

I am part of the Lund University focus area Nature-Based Future Solutions, and are also interested in how people's interaction with nature influences their wellbeing.

Another part of my research is concerned with how values and attitudes affect environment-related choices and behaviours, for example how the physical environment may trigger certain goal-frames that play a role in consumption choices.

I am course director for TFRG30: e-Environmental Psychology and teach at the Sustainable Urban Design master programme, SUDes and at the Lund University Agenda 2030 Research School.
