Research
Han Somsen is professor of environmental law. He also is professor of EU law at Tilburg Law School (NL), where he is one of two PI's of the project Constitutionalizing in the Anthropocene (https://constitutionalizing-anthropocene.org/)
His research focus is on the relationship between law, technologies and 'the environment' conceived as regulatory agents.
Han is one of the founding editors of the international journal Law, Innovation and Technology (with Prof. Roger Brownsword). He founded and edited The Yearbook of European Environmental Law (Oxford University Press).
