Research

Scholarly, Dr. Olsson's research centers on last-mile delivery services in retail. Specifically, his research focuses on the emerging service of unattended home delivery in e-grocery retail. His research investigates such delivery services from a consumer perspective to shed light on the customer journey in relation to last-mile delivery services. Moreover, he is interested in circular business model innovation and the role of logistics services in the circular economy.

 

John Olsson holds a PhD in Packaging Logistics from the Department of Design Sciences at the Faculty of Engineering LTH, Lund University. In addition, he is part of ReLog at Campus Helsingborg and affiliated with the Centre for Retail Research at Lund University.

Teaching

Dr. Olsson teaches in the Logistics Service Management program at Campus Helsingborg, which is given in collaboration between LTH and the Faculty of Social Sciences. He is a member of the Programme Committee for the bachelor programme in Logistics Service Management and teaches supply chain management, logistics and strategy, as well as quantitative methods.
