Research

Jonas Johansson is an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Critical Infrastructures at the Division of Risk Management and Societal Safety, Lund University. He is Director of the Centre for Critical Infrastructure Protection Research (CenCIP). He is Docent (reader) in Risk and Safety and holds Ph.D. in Automation and a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and has been awarded Excellent Teaching Practitioner (ETP).. His main research areas of interest are resilience, vulnerability and risk management of complex systems, emphasizing on large-scale interdependent critical infrastructures and how society depend on the services these provide. Infrastructure applications include power, railway, transport, telecommunication, and water supply systems. Societal applications include municipal, regional, and governmental aspects of crisis management from a resilience perspective, focusing on interdependencies among societal functions and critical infrastructures. During the period 2007-2013 he also held a position as an infrastructure risk consultant at Grontmij AB, Sweden. In 2012 he was a visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins University, USA. He is also affiliated to Lund University Center for Risk Management (LUCRAM).
