Personal profile

Research

My research focus on the interface between law and information technology in a business context. In my doctoral thesis I investigated international copyright protection of computer programs. In my postdoctoral research project I have somewhat broadened the perspective and is investigating how new information technologies and business models, like cloud computing and open source, are affecting the legal landscape. My current research involves both cloud contracts and open data.

Teaching

My main areas of teaching are intellectual property law, commercial contract law and information technology law (from introductory level to masters courses). In addition, I have supervised and examined numerous bachelor and master theses.

Outreach

It is important to me that my research results are made available to and can benefit businesses, the public sector, policy-makers and society in general. It is also important for me as a researcher to get input from industry and other stakeholders. I therefore take every opportunity to hold talks, act as advisor to and cooperate in rearch projects with industry and the public sector. Such outreach have vastly benefited my research.
