Personal profile

I received my PhD in Medical Science at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, Linköping University in 2012, where I worked in the area of molecular genetics with a main focus on colorectal carcinogenesis. After my PhD, I started as a postdoc in Professor Mikael Sigvardsson’s lab in Linköping (2012-2014), working with epigenetics and lineage commitment factors in early B-cell development. During this time period, I received the Swedish Research Council (VR) International postdoc grant and moved to Professor Ellen Rothenberg’s lab at California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, USA (2014-2017). The work there focused on transcriptional control in early T-cell development with an emphasis on next-generation sequencing techniques, specifically RNA, ChIP –and ATAC-sequencing.
