Research
I hold a degree in Molecular Biology and a Ph.D. in Medical Science from Lund University. Currently, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Diabetes and Celiac Disease group, where I focus on investigating the etiology and underlying mechanisms of type 1 diabetes and celiac disease.
During my doctoral studies, I explored how lifestyle factors influence DNA methylation and their connection to human health. My research initially began with wet lab work but soon transitioned to big data analysis, where I developed an understanding of bioinformatics, biostatistics, and large-scale DNA sequencing analyses. Throughout this time, I honed skills in R for data analysis and visualization.
