Personal profile

Research

I am a doctoral student in Film Studies at Lund University. My research interests span film, literature, and philosophy, with a critical focus on Marxism, queer theory, ontology, and poststructuralism. My ongoing PhD project, Cinematic Intruders: Power, Politics, Pleasure, examines the filmic mediation of "intrusion" in contemporary global art cinema, theorising it as both a narrative trope and a critical concept through which films engage with sociopolitical and philosophical issues. I have also conducted research on culture and media in postsocialist China and the works of David Wojnarowicz.

Before joining Lund, I completed a Research MA in Cultural Analysis at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands (2021−23) and a BA in English Language and Literature at Shenzhen University in China (2017−21). Beyond academia, I have curated for the Berlin NewGen Film Festival and the China Contemporary Animation Art Archive.
