Research

My research revolves around different aspects of globalization and regional integration. The main focus is on trade and foreign direct investment and some of my work has dealt with economic integration with a special focus on the European Union (EU). Currently, I am focusing on the behavior and organization of firms with international linkages.

Teaching

My main area of teaching is in international economics, teaching courses in trade theory and economic integration at all levels (from introductory level to PhD courses). I have also supervised and examined numerous bachelor and master theses.

Outreach

Interviewed by, e.g, Arbetet, Bloomberg, and Svenska Dagbladet. Participated in various workshops and meetings such as OECD’s Territorial Review of Skåne and with Föreningen Centerjournalister. Press conference in 2003 presenting Euron och Öresund, Öresundsinstituttet, and a press article in DN debatt, Dagens Nyheter, the same year.
