Personal profile
Research
Karin is a planning scholar focused on social and political perspectives in transport planning and urban policy. Her research aims at raising awareness of how planning is part of creating social (in)justice for humans and others and includes topics such as mobility justice, gender struggles, and social change.
Karin foremost works with qualitative research approaches with an emphasis on discourse analysis. She has a talent for research communication as well as combining theoretically driven explorations with a broad and granular knowledge of planning and policy making in practice. The latter is the result of over 20 years of experience from the national, regional, and local levels of government in Sweden.
