Personal profile

Research

I studied a M.Sc. in Biology with specialisation in Molecular Biology and Genetics (University of Copenhagen, Denmark) and a B.Sc. in Bacteriology Parasitology Chemistry (Autonomous University of Chihuahua, Mexico). Since then, I have been interested in doing research within the Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Genomics fields.  I am particularly interested to elucidate the diversity and molecular mechanisms used by the microorganisms to mediate cell-cell interactions, metabolism and symbiosis. Currently, as a PhD student, I am carrying out my research in Courtney Stairs’ lab, where I am investigating protist:prokaryote interactions in anaerobic environments.
