Research

My research concerns the use of land resources and how we can assess and value the benefits form nature and soils. Currently we address how knowledge and values of nature based solutions can increase the transformation to more sustainable development.

Specific topics are: soil ecology that currently comprise anything from molecular studies of functional genes and interactions among microorganisms to above- and below ground interactions that involves studies of soil biodiversity and ecosystem services on large scale levels. The concept of ecosystem services and how we can value them use their value in promoting sustainable use of soils, agricultural biodiversity and natural in urban areas are focus areas of our current research.
