Personal profile

Research

My research profile is in the field of structural mechanics and structural dynamics with emphasis on material mechanics and numerical modelling. Within the field of numerical modelling the research has primarily been focussed on finite element development, fracture and material modelling, reduction and substructuring techniques, fluid-structure interaction, geodynamics and software implementation. The research is often performed in industry-related applications.

Recent applications are: vibration analysis of the MAX IV facility, traffic induced vibrations in buildings, methods for early stage design, analysis of new type of wind turbine blade, vibrations in lightweight timber buildings and structural glass design.
