Research
My research interests revolve around the practice, organisation, professionalism, history, and role of social work in society. I am also interested in how knowledge is created and passed on, how the relationship between social worker and client is developed, how support and control interact in social work and the role and function of the individual in the organisation, whether the organisation is a public authority or a voluntary organisation. I have primarily studied these aspects of social work in relation to issues of crime, abuse and youth.
Teaching
Teaches in SOAN54 Social Science Theory in Social Work, 15 credits, which is a compulsory course in the Master's program in social work.
Supervises doctoral students and master theses.
Occasional lectures in the social work program and in commissioned education.
