Research

Kristijan Petkoski is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Strategic Communication since December 2019. His research interest lies in the intersection of branding and communication theory. In his thesis project, he aims to understand the shifts and complexities in contemporary branding, drawing on insights from communication theories and specifically from Luhmann's social systems theory.
Kristijan holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from BI Norwegian Business School.

Professional work

Prior to joining the department, I have worked as Strategic Planning Director across Europe and Asia for some of the biggest advertising agency networks, including McCann, Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis and Ogilvy. In my work I have been responsible for leading the full strategic and creative development process, both for big international brands as well as for small and upcoming brands.

Teaching

I have extensive experience with teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in branding, integrated marketing communications and advertising, as well as with developing and leading executive training courses.
