Research

My main research areas are grammatical and lexical-semantic development and vulnerability in children with developmental language disorders and in children with different degrees of hearing  impairment. The focus is to try to understand the interaction between within-child factors like working memory and phonolgoical processing skills and contextual factors, like how the interactional style of the conversational partner facilitates or contrains the child's langauge production. The goal is theoretically well founded and evidence based methods for assessment and intervention.
