Research

My research is focussed on the dynamics and occurences of wildfires in the context of dynamic global vegetation modelling and Earth system modelling. I have developed the wildfire combustion model BLAZE which I use to investigate the evolution of fire-regimes under certain climate projections as well as the interactions between fire, vegetation, and the climate.
