Research
My research has focused on mood disorders and suicidal behaviour. I am interested in obtaining accurate information on the extent and nature of these problems by studying their probable causes, and finding out what treatments and prevention measures could be effective.
My research group has taken a particular interest i biologal matters related to phenomena of mood regulation and serious self-harm. In our studies, we have covered various biological systems e.g. monoamines, peptides, steroidal stress-markers, and since the beginning of the 1990:ies , the role of immunological functions.
Our research has benefitted from well organized settnings and large grants.
