Personal profile

Research

It was during my project work at medical school that I first came into contact with the research field that lead to my thesis project.  I took my degree in medicine from Lund University in June 2013 and finished my research internship at Skåne University Hospital in Lund in november 2016. I finished my thesis "On the road to life satisfaction for persons with Parkinson's disease" in 2021.  I am now finishing my residency in rehabilitation medicine at Ängelholms sjukhus, in parallel with co-supervising two doctoral students in our research group Rehabilitation medicine

In my thesis, I studied the life situation for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD), focusing on life satisfaction (LS). My thesis contributes to the knowledge about LS and factors that affect LS in people with Parkinson’s disease which can be used in the rehabilitation for this patient group.  I have been using both quantitative and qualitative methods which gave me a broad reserach education. As a supervisor for doctoral students I use my broad knowledge of rehablitation and both quantitative and qualitative methods for their studies on consequences after stroke.
