Current research

My research centres on social policy, family, population and gender. One research project explores how family and intimate relations are renegotiated in the context of a shortage of women in China. The other research project investigates the politics around parental support in Sweden.

Teaching

I teach both first and second-cycle courses on topics such as gender, development, population, social policy and methodology, and also convene the thesis course in sociology for BIDS students.
