I completed my PhD in 2011 in Mesophases and Molecular Materials (University of Calabria, Italy). I was PostDoc at the University of Calabria and my research goals were directed toward understanding the complex flow behaviour of lyotropic liquid crystals (lamellar, cubic and vesicle phases) by using rheology, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging, rheo-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, rheo-Small Angle Neutron and Light Scattering. I was also working as Contract Researcher at the Physical Chemistry Division of Lund University on cellulose dissolution in alkaline solvents (Prof. Ulf Olsson).  

I am now working with Prof. Per Persson in collaboration with Prof.Anders Tunlid in the framework of MOLECULAR INTERACTIONS CONTROLLING SOIL CARBON SEQUESTRATION project. In my current project we will use spectroscopic and scattering methods based on conventional, synchrotron and neutron light sources to characterize the structure, composition and heterogeneity of SOM and its interaction with the biotic and abiotic environment, as well as its dynamic behaviour during decomposition by fungi.
