Research

Luis Mundaca is a Professor at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics at Lund University (Sweden). His research, educational, and outreach activities focus on the intersection of behavioural and environmental economics, particularly in the context of policy experimentation and policy evaluation. Mundaca's primary research areas include behaviour change, energy use, ecosystem services, finance, transportation, and climate change mitigation. He served as a Lead Author for the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report on Climate Change Mitigation and the Global Energy Assessment. He was also a Lead Author for the IPCC Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5°C. He is currently a member of the editorial boards of Applied EnergyClimate and Development, and Energy, Sustainability and Society.
